New TMC version: use version TMC 13

TMC (Version 4) from this site (2020-07-29) is still available, but is superseded by version 13.

Also TMC 8 is still available (2021-05-06) under TMC 8

Looking at the TMC manual ...
The manual contains information on installation, usage of the script, example data and the theoretical background. It can be downloaded without installing the TMC script from here (right mouse click). Beyond that, the manual will automatically be copied to the TMC/text directory during installation.

Before TMC installation ...

  • The TMC script requires an installed R version > 3.5.
  • The TMC script needs the packages "modeest" and "stringr". The script tries to install them if are are not yet present. To this end, the user will be asked to select a server for the download. However, the settings on the user's computer may prevent this process. In that case the user has to install these packages manually using the "packages" item of the R menu.

Recommended way of installation:

  • Download the installation programme Install_TMC.R into the directory where you desire TMC to install. Downloading can be started by a right mouse click.
  • Open the installation file with R. Details about the action of the installation file are given in the beginning of the file. Details on TMC are given in the manual, which will be automatically installed under TMC/txt.
  • Execute the installation file.
  • Do the installation test as indicated in the installation file.

Alternative way of installation:

  • Download the TMC programme zip file TMC_public-2020-07-29.zip into the directory where you desire TMC to install
  • Extract all zip file components to the directory into which you desire to install TMC
  • Details on installation and operation of TMC are given in the manual, which is located in TMC/txt.
  • Do the installation test as indicated in the manual
